Chelsea Celebrates The 4th Of July

The City of Chelsea’s Big Kaboom will again deliver a

fireworks show on July 3, 2016

near the clock tower off U.S. Highway 280

above the Chelsea Park subdivision.


There will be a flag retirement ceremony with the Boy Scouts at 7:30 p.m.

Entertainment will happen in the park area starting at 8:00 p.m. with food & more.

The fireworks show begins at 9:00 p.m.

The event is free of charge.


The fireworks show will be visible from various places around the subdivision including a lot at

Highway 440 and Highway 280 and the Publix parking lot.

People should keep safety in mind if they park along Highway 280 to watch the fireworks.

Pelham Celebrates 4th Of July

The third annual “Fire on the Water” fireworks celebration

at Oak Mountain State Park

will happen around Double Oak Lake on July 3, 2016.


The festivities begin at 6:00 p.m. with food, entertainment and live music.

Admission is $5 per carload ($3 for single rider).

Additional parking and shuttles will be available at the Oak Mountain Amphitheater.

There will be no admission to the park after 8 p.m.
